Communications Director of Asante Kotoko Lawyer Sarfo Duku says the club will not pull out from the Normalisation Committee Special Competition following Sunday's violent incident in Berekum Golden City Park.
Kotoko's Policy Analyst Dr Yaw Amo Sarpong, who was reported to have fired gunshots at the venue, sustained serious injuries after he was beaten up by supporters of Berekum Chelsea in their matchday 8 fixture.
The club's Operations Manager Perusha was also assaulted and he sustained wounds which required medical attention.
As a result, they were detained at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital where they received treatment.
According to reports, the Porcupine Warriors were planning to withdraw from the competition due to the incident.
But the spokesperson of the club has denied such reports circulating in the media.
"I can say it on authority, Kotoko will not be pulling out of the Normalisation Committee Special Competition as being speculated ", Lawyer Sarfo Duku on Atinka total sports.
Coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor's side was held by the Blues to a goalless draw and still remain top of Premier A table with 14 points.
