Newly appointed head coach of the Black Stars, Kwasi Appiah has exclusively told PRAVDA SPORTS 93.5 FM in Accra that he is aware it will not be an easy task handling the senior national team.
“In my case I was an assistant and being an assistant you learn a lot. I have worked under two coaches and with any work that you are doing, your aim is to get to the top position. And it is not an easy job. One needs to be strong dealing with the players,” he told PRAVDA SPORTS 93.5 FM exclusively on Tuesday.
Pravda Sports sources say the ex-Black Stars captain, who was appointed on Easter Monday, will be handed a 2-year-contract and paid 20,000 dollars monthly. He will be officially unveiled next Tuesday. This comes after Tuesday’s meeting with the FA’s Executive Committee.
Coach Kwasi Appiah will lead the Black Stars to play in the qualifying campaigns for both the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2014 World Cup. Ahead of these tough assignments, Coach Kwasi Appiah says he has dreams of reaching an enviable height with the Black Stars.
