Columbus Crew defender Abubakar Lalas has expressed delight with his first goal US Major League Soccer goal for Columbus Crew.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian opened the scoring in the 35th minute with a powerful header to send Columbus into the break with a 1-0 lead in their game with Orlando City.
Lalas was drafted into the MLS this season and failed to command a regular starting role in the team but made the best out of his 5th start tonight.
"I am happy to score my first goal for the side although we couldn't get all point," he said
"In the MLS there are no easy teams so when you go away and you get results like this you just have to be happy and work hard for your subsequent games."
