Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez says he cannot stop in-form star Kevin-Prince Boateng from leaving the club in the summer.
The Spanish La Liga side have the option to extend his contract for one more season at the end of April.
But if the player comes back in the summer with an improve contract, he will be allowed to leave.
"We will have the option of renewing Boateng's contract in April. If in summer comes Kevin and tells me that there is a team that wants him with a higher contract, then I have to release him,'' Ramirez told Radio Nacional.
''This is because I related to him well and asked him to come (at zero cost). We can not do anything.''
Boateng has scored nine goals in 22 league appearances.
