Italian Sports Journalist Gianluigi Longari has confirmed that Chievo Verona have accepted Leeds United bid for Caleb Ansah Ekuban and the striker is set for a switch to Elland Roads.
Longari, who works for SportsItalia is the closest media man to Chievo Verona and Ansah and he posted on his official twitter page that the 23-year-old atriker is on his way to join the Peacocks.
The SportItalia journalist took to Twitter to announce that the North Yorkshire club have all but secured the signature of the 23-year-old.
“Chievo striker Ekuban is about to sign with Leeds United #chievo #lufc,” Longari tweeted.
Ekuban has been loaned out three times and he is yet to make an appearance for the Chievo senior team, since graduating from their academy in 2013.
He netted 18 goals in 42 appearances on all competitions for Albanian side Partizani Tirana last season.
