Fans of Newcastle United have lavished praises on Christian Atsu for his performance in their 2-1 loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Atsu, who has had to play second fiddle to a number of other options in Newcastle’s attack this season, kept his place in the team after an impressive display in the draw against Everton in midweek.
The 26-year-old was deployed as a second strike behind Salomon Rondon but the St. James' Park outfit were pipped 2-1 by Wolves.
And although Rafa Benitez's side were unable to pick up the three points, many of their fans were impressed by Atsu’s display in the contest.
On a brighter note Rondon, Atsu & Ki all had cracking games once again #NUFC.
That stings cos Wolves have been shite. Atsu’s best game in a black and white shirt though. #NUFC

Fair play to Atsu, worked his socks off today. The lad must be goosed! I’m first to judge him normally but cant fault him today. #NUFC

Give Atsu credit, he’s refusing to accept us being down to 10 men and still giving everything today. Got a point to prove, and is doing so #NUFC
