Hearts of Oak captain Robin Gnagne has revealed that the players want head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi to stay.
The future of the Japanese-American tactician has been speculated in the media.
But the coach posted on his official Twitter page he was ready to see out his two-year contract with the club.
"He is very a good coach. He sees us as he is a father to us. He encourages us a lot on the field of play,” Gnagne told Kapital Radio in Kumasi.
“We are happy to work with him because when we are with him, we are happy. He motivates us all the time so we want him to stay.
"Our objective is not thinking about what the management is doing. As players, our objective is on the field of play.
"We need to focus and be mentally strong. Our job is not about what's happening."
Hearts of Oak are currently top of the league table after eleven matches with a one point difference.
