French Ligue 1 side AS Saint-Étienne are keen to swoop for Ghana striker Majeed Waris in the ongoing summer transfer window, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The Ghanaian forward is contracted to FC Porto until June 2022 but is believed not to be in the plans of Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao for next season.
As a result, the Dragons are ready to let him leave during this summer transfer window which will pave the way for a return to the Ligue 1.
Porto's decision-makers are reportedly even open to a loan option on one condition.
The Portuguese champions would require that this option to buy is greater than the amount they invested to recruit him last winter, which is at least 7 million euros.
Waris featured eight times for Porto including a Uefa Champions League appearance against Liverpool during his initial loan spell.
