Soccer terror in Abesim as Liberty players are lynched

The Division Two League venue of Sunyani-Abesim recorded the most dreadful hooliganism act a football match will ever see this past weekend during the league match between Liberty Youth and Abesim Stars.

The club led by Pastor Eric ( CPC branch, Abesim), who failed to instill the teachings of God into his supporters, mercilessly beat the in entirety all the players of Liberty Youth and in the process injured 7 of them.

The Liberty Youth players who were injured are Kyeremeh Twene who is now in Sunyani Hospital suffering from ear bleeding, Sameh Ahmed Gambo (broken hands), Richard Kwaku Boateng lost three of his teeth, Yusif Faisal (broken leg), lbrahim Baba (broken nose), Takyi Albert (head crush) and Denjumah Selama.

The 7 policemen who were there for security could not control the Abesim fans hence they called in for military intervention to calm down things but the football had already turned to war. In fact, the Liberty Youth players were lynched like snakes.

The Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association Chairman, Mr. Asante, was not there since he was part of the contingent that went to London to witness the Ghana versus England friendly game.

I’m entreating the GFA to help curb this hooliganism saga at our match centres and I know for this offence, the Abesim club certainly must be barred from playing in the Division Two League for a long time to come. Thank you.
