Hearts of Oak gaffer Kim Grant is pleased with the performance of his boys after their hard fought victory over Liberty Professional on Sunday at the Carl Reindorf Park.
Kojo Obeng Junior’s first half header ensured the Phobians walked away with all the three points from Dansoman as Liberty Professional suffered their first home defeat in the Normalization Committee Special Competition.
Speaking to the media after the game, Kim Grant expressed his satisfaction over the progress of his team and also insisted his tactics worked perfectly against the Dansoman lads.
“I’m very pleased with the results, because Liberty were in a good run, four games unbeaten and they came here with a determination thinking that they going to beat us.
“We responded very well, win against Dwarfs and we win today, I’m very pleased with that,” he said.
“We kept compact and were able to stop their midfield play. To make sure that we are on the front.
“To make sure Zibo and Addo weren’t comfortable on the ball. I emphasised on pressing them high as soon as they had the ball. I was happy my tactics really worked.
“Any team that will face us is not going to be easy for us. No body is going to have an easy ride with us. We will work all the way till the ninety minutes,” he added.
Hearts of Oak will face second place WAFA on Sunday at Sogakope.
