Asante Kotoko have vehemently protested against playing Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the semifinal clash of the NC Special Competition, insisting it will hand the Phobians a huge advantage.

The Porcupine Warriors have officially written to the Ghana FA Normalization Committee stating clearly their position in relation to the match venue.

The Reds have cited breaches in the competitions regulations as one of the reasons for their protest.

Kotoko quotes article 11.5 of the Special Competition Regulations in the letter signed by the CEO of Kotoko, to back their claim.

The Porcupine Warriors are indignant towards the position of the NC for the top of the table clubs in the two zones to play at home when the regulations they quoted says otherwise.

They have therefore asked the NC to revert to the regulation and fix the game at a neutral venue instead of the home grounds of their bitterest rivals, Hearts of Oak.
