Stop Dating Students- Chief Cautions Teachers

Teachers have been urged to be weary of their lifestyle since students see them as role models and has however being advised to desist from dating female students since it is against the ethics of the profession.

Chief of Akyem Osino in the Fanteakwa District, Osaberima Otu Darko lV said this at the 2nd Speech and Prize Day of Osino Presby senior high technical school.

"It is against the ethics of the profession for teachers to have an affair with students because students see them as role models" he stated.

He has therefore pledged to not to entertain teachers who engage in such behaviours in the community and also appealed to the Ghana Education Service to intensify their supervision to schools.

Osaberima Otu Darko lV also called on parents and guardians to invest in their childrens' education since that is the only legacy they can give to their wards.

"Parents must also take good care of their childrens' education instead of depending wholly on the government" he added.

He also expressed worry at the rate students are being engaged in galamsey activities instead of going to school.

In a related development, teachers and pupils of Osino Presby Junior High School have also appealed for support to roof their building which was destroyed by rainstorm some months ago.
