Sudan national team coach, Kwasi Appiah
Sudan national team coach Kwasi Appiah attended the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council meeting at the Technical Centre in Prampram on Thursday.
As a member of the GFA Executive Council, Appiah engaged in discussions on governance, audit, compliance, and policies to enhance football development in Ghana.
Appiah's dual role has sparked controversy. While he continues to hold a significant position with the GFA, he also leads the Sudan national team.
This has led to growing calls for him to step down from his GFA role, particularly after the draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers placed the Black Stars in the same group as Sudan.
Critics argue that Appiah's involvement with both football associations could lead to conflicts of interest, especially since he makes decisions impacting the Black Stars.
Despite the criticism, Appiah intends to retain both positions and continue serving both nations.
