Ghanaian duo Jordan Ayew and Mubarak Wakaso have been included in CAF’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Team of the Group Stage.
The pair were selected by CAF’s Technical Study Group after helping the Black Stars to a top place finish ahead of defending champions Cameroon in Group F.
Jordan earned his place in the best XI alongside Sadio Mane and Mo Salah in attack after scoring two goals in the opening three games, bagging one Man of the Match award in the process.
The Crystal Palace forward has been arguably Ghana’s best player at the tournament.
Wakaso could only make the bench, but the Deportivo Alaves ace deservedly gets his recognition for his tenacity and work ethic in midfield.
