Ghana international Thomas Partey was in action for Atletico Madrid as they bounced back to wining ways with a 1-0 win over Granada at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday night in the Spanish La Liga.
Partey, who lasted the entire duration of the game was instrumental in his side's first victory in over a month.
Angel Correa’s 6th minute strike was enough to hand the Los Rojiblancos all three points at home to move them to fourth place, however Sevilla could leapfrog them should they beat Celta Vigo on Sunday.
The Ghanaian was shown a yellow card in the 68th minute of the game.
The 26-year-old bossed the midfield, stringing together 52 accurate passes and 71 touches.
He had a 100% success rate with his aerial duels (four from four) and made one interception, two tackles and three clearances.
Atletico Madrid will play Valencia CF on Valentine’s Day in their next league fixture.
