Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has described Arsenal’s US tour as one that has left lasting memories on him.
The 31-year-old started in two of the three games the Gunners played in the States ahead of the new season, the latest against Liverpool on Thursday.
Partey, who faces an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium this summer, enjoyed some good moments on the ball in the 2-1 loss to the Reds.
After the game, he took to Instagram to share a word about the tour, saying, “The US tour has come to an end, and we’re leaving with unforgettable memories. We felt all your support here! Thank you, US.”
Goals from Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho did the damage in Philadelphia, while Kai Havertz scored the consolation goal for the Gunners.
However, that first-half goal from the German forward proved too little, too late for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Thomas Partey’s future at Arsenal is still in the air as the club is reportedly looking to sign midfield reinforcements this summer.
