Ghana midfielder, Thomas Partey will start for Atletico Madrid when they travel to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Sunday to play Sevilla in the La Liga.
The versatile midfielder will be in the starting eleven once again but will be shifted to the right side of midfield.
The Ghanaian's preferred position has been at the heart of midfield, however manager Diego Simeone has indicated moving the player to the right side ahead of the Sevilla game.
Diego Simeone is sticking to his starting XI in the victory over Espanyol before the Christmas break.
Thursday's training session did see a slight change, though, with Thomas Partey moving to right midfield, rather than in his usual central midfield position and Simeone switched between a 4-3-3 and the tried-and-tested 4-4-2.
He did revert to the 4-4-2 by the end, however, with Partey remaining on the right and Thomas Lemar occupying the slot on the left of midfield, while Koke and Rodrigo took the central roles.
It was another day of training away from the group for Lucas Hernandez who is continuing to recover. Filipe Luis also trained alone, as did Diego Costa.
Gelson Martins was absent from training as he is currently suffering from tonsillitis.
