Spanish La Liga side Granada is working hard to overturn the red card Mubarak Wakaso received against Atletico Madrid in their 1-0 defeat over the weekend.
Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso was sent off in injury time as Granada succumbed 1-0 to Thomas Partey's Atletico Madrid at home on Saturday night in the La Liga.
Wakaso collected his second yellow card in the 94th minute after a late tackle on Antoine Griezmann. He had already been booked on 72 minutes.
But with Granada facing their most important game of the season against Sporting Gijon, the club is appealing to have their influential Ghanaian midfielder back for the game this weekend.
It is however unclear if the Spanish Football federation will listen to their case.
