The capacity crowd recorded at the Accra Sports Stadium for the Hearts of Oak- Asante Kotoko clash is enough testimony that interest in the Ghana Premier League has been rekindled.
Hearts sold more the 38,000 tickets and the stadium was packed on a holiday to end the week 10 fixtures of the season.
For safety reasons, officials decided against selling all 40,000 tickets to pack the stadium to the rafters.
It was an impressive attendance which bodes well for the Ghana top-flight which has broken records this term.
Asante Kotoko beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 to earn the bragging rights as both sides finished with ten men.
