West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Abdul Majeed Waris from Lorient this summer.
According to a report from the Daily Mail today, the Hammers are among a host of teams interested in landing the striker, with his stock seemingly growing ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Waris is a Ghanaian international, and was at Manchester City for a short spell during his early days on trial.
It’s claimed by the Mail that a fee of just £9m would be enough to lure the forward away from Ligue 1 outfit Lorient, which is a price that most top flight clubs will be able to afford.
Despite being a natural striker, Waris has enjoyed a lot of success on the wing at Lorient, and has notched a commendable tally of 21 goals in 58 games since his move from Spartak Moscow.
The Hammers will face competition for his signature, though. The report states that all of Fulham, Brighton and Celtic are keen.
