Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey and Three Lions defender Daniel Burn
English defender Daniel Johnson Burn was prevented from answering a question about Thomas Partey during a press conference.
England will face Ghana in a decisive Group L game, with both sides aiming to secure victory and qualification to the Round of 32.
Ahead of the match, Black Stars midfielder Partey’s rape charges and his recent denial of entry into Canada have been major talking points in the media.

During the press conference, a journalist asked Burn how the English players intend to approach Partey given the controversies surrounding him.
“I know this week you will come up against Thomas Partey. I wonder how you people discuss how he might approach that,” the journalist asked.
Immediately afterward, the media officer seated beside Burn intervened, stating that issues surrounding Partey could not be discussed due to “legal reasons.”
“Sorry, sir. Obviously, for legal reasons we are not going to go there,” the official said, thereby blocking Burn from answering the question.
With England’s strong start against Croatia, the Black Stars will need to work diligently to secure a result that could book their ticket to the next stage of the competition.
After England’s 4-2 win against Croatia, the Three Lions lead Group L with three points, alongside Ghana, while Panama and Croatia sit third and fourth with zero points after the first round of matches.
