AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley is optimistic that new signing Lloyd Sam will be useful to his side.
The Ghanaian forward joined the League One outfit on a short-term contract this week after being released by MLS side DC United in November.
Ardley emphasized that the ex- Charlton, Leeds, and New York Red Bulls attacker can help their course in the third-tier.
“He’s shown us in training that he has ability and he just needs to get the physical side of his game up to speed,” Neal Ardley told his club’s website
“Sam will play for Wimbledon’s under-23 side to find fitness before providing cover for the injured Cody McDonald.”
Wimbledon sit just two places above the drop zone with 42 points from 38 games.
