AS the Ghanaians gnashed their teeth after failing to beat Nigeria’s team, the local fans of Ghana Black Meteors poured their frustration on coach Jones Cecil Attuquayefio and his boys for breaking their hearts.

While Nigeria’s Under-23 team coach Samson Siasia enjoyed the glory of the barren draw as he was carried shoulder high by his players and supporters, the story was not the same for his counterpart, Attuquayefio who instead took refuge with the security operatives.

The fans could not leave the venue of the match, Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, till Nine O’clock (local time) as they called for the head of the coach.

The Ghanaians who were making jest of any Nigerian in sight that the Meteors would pound their visitors with goals when they learnt that the duo of Chelsea superbrat, John Mikel Obi and France Olympic Marseille Taiye Taiwo were not part of the Nigerian delegation got a rude shock when their team could not break even.

Even with the absence of Mikel and Taiwo, the Dream Team Four were a force to reckon with as they gave the Ghanaians some anxious moments especially in the early half of the game when they hit the crossbar. Though, both sides had their best opportunities but fluffed them all. Frustration set in in the second half as the Meteors failed to live up to the expectation of the fans forcing coach Attuquayefio who was constantly on his feet to replace visibly tired Emmanuel Boakye and Bernard Yao Kumordzi with Daniel Addo and Obed Ansah, while Kwadwo Asamoah came in for enterprising Nafui Iddrisu.
