Most of our players are too selfish, theatrical, cannot keep the ball and cannot defend. "The Black Squids" had no game plan, no game management and too lazy.

Not until the GFA focus on the promotion of home based soccer players, stop the promotion of premiership games on TV and rebuild our Colts System, Ghana is not going to dominate football on the world stage again.

the problem with bstars not performing is squarely with the gfa. they always imposing their agency players on the coach. even when the coach tells them hey, your agency player is not good and cant deliver. they use bribes or hate, division to influence the coach to select their players. the coach may eventually cower and pick gfa agency players but wont use them or sit them on then bench. now, you have a few starting 11 who are constantly used over n over to btain results n when they get injured or receive too many cautions. then t becomes a problem because the gaency players on the bench cant deliver. so at this point gfa needs a policy that refrains gfa execs from having clubs in the lg. how can cat watch over rats? impossible. its a conflict of interest and this is damaging.

If you like combine aforementioned coaches to manage black stars the results will be the same because Ghanaians hate to hear 'rebuilding '. If we don't rebuild the team and we call different players for each game and different coaches for each tournament, then, we are not a serious nation. Different players are used in qualifying series in both Afcon and World Cup and at the end of each tournament, a coach is sacked or resigned and a new coach is employed to qualify the team to next tournament, be it World Cup or Afcon and the performance is disappointing and even if the team gets to the finals and failed to win the cup, the coach will be made to resign or sack. This has gone on tournament after tournament since 1982 when Ghana won its last trophy. Not all the coaches should have been sacked or made to resign some could have been maintained to rebuild the black stars to become a winning team. All the West Africa giants are struggling, Nigeria, Cameroon, Cote d'ivoire and Ghana are not in good shape and countries like the Gambia, Mauritania, Cape Verde etc are doing well because they have spent the past years to rebuild their national teams and those countries which has no time to rebuild yet wants to achieve results are always keep on changing coaches and players at will.

Recruit good materials for the under-17 and the under-20 teams, groom them, and bring them up gradually to play in the Black Stars. That process will take about 5 years and we will have a good Black Stars. We need coaches with good eyes for talents to do the work for us. We must put in proper structures to recruit good coaches at the junior level instead of rotating/recycling the incompetent Ghana coaches to scout for players. You need people with eyes like the late Sly Tetteh to fish out the good players at the under-17 and 20 levels. We must also find ways to improve the standard of the Ghana league.

If you watch the on going AFCON, you will notice how some of these players playing for their country show commitment. Even when they're leading in terms of scores, you will see they are eager for more goals. But our Black Stars players completely relax after scoring 1goal. They now play as if the game is over. And so unless we see seriousness in them, even if you bring God to coach them, it will be the same disastrous and disappointment results.

Before its only few countries in Africa that have their players playing in Europe but now things have change most countries have foreign base players. Look at Senegal national team right now, they have kept one coach for years and they are on top of Africa. Football is not changing coaches anytime the team looses. Ghana need a plan and must stick to the plan for the team to know each other extremely well, coordinating with constructive soccer with the same coach takes time, not one or two years. Ghana cannot keep firing coaches and expect the team to win. Anytime you have a new coach, the coach need time to know the boys and since they are not together all the time, it makes it harder for the coach to know them really, really well. Time is an investment and Ghana must follow Senegal philosophy.
