The director General and the chief accountant are transferring monies up and down with no justified reason. Double standards Director General going behind sector minister and telling staff not to go on transfer. He refuse to submit invoices requested by PAC.

1. In August 2018, I reported that Salamatu Alhassan reportedly embezzled over GHC 78,000 of NSA money. I was at Kwesè then.

A document I was privy to revealed that she collected GHC 68,000 and never paid it to the NSA account.

She also collected GHC 10,000 Local Hajj money, and it was paid into her personal account.

The Auditor General would later confirm this and ask her to refund the money to the NSA.

2. On September 19, I reported that NSA Director General Professor Peter Twumasi's official car was stolen in Kumasi.

The dark ash pickup car, which is his official car with registration number GX 6551 -18, disappeared into thin air.

When I texted him on WhatsApp, he said armed robbers attacked his driver and bolted with the car.

Prof Twumasi would later tell me a different story when I called him on the phone. That was when I realised something was amiss.

When I spoke to his driver, he told me that he parked the car at Owass Hotel, and when he woke up, the car was not there. His narration was interesting.

Prof said the car was insured, but to date, no one knows the insurance company that insured the car. And it can't be traced. I won't mention what happened to the car as claimed by people.

I would be glad if the Public Accounts Committee invited his driver and asked him questions.

Within the same year, KNUST wrote to the Sports Ministry to tell them that Professor Twumasi was drawing a double salary.

All these would later be uncovered by the Auditor General.

This same Authority was asked to employ 250 people. They interviewed less than 100 people, employed less than 45, and filled the other positions. Some slots were sold for not less than GHC 10,000.

Not even the board chairman of the authority could get "his people" hired.

Prof handed appointments to people who were never interviewed and gave them positions it takes not less than 10 years of service to occupy.

Someone made a part payment, and when her brothers got their appointment letters, she refused to pay the rest of the money.

All those who applied were asked to go to the STC clinic at either Accra or Kumasi for medical tests at cost a of GHC 450. No matter where you were coming from, those were the only clinics they had to use.

I wrote to the clinic.

Aside from all these, the NSA accountant appears to have zero knowledge of many transactions at the authority.

Liberia paid about $10,000 to use the Accra stadium. Where is the money? The multiple concerts organised at venues, where do they pay the money? Only God knows.

For instance, in 2021, the NSA board had a retreat at Aqua Safari in Ada. Media reports suggested that the Accra stadium was not available for football.

Prof told the board that the media reports were false.

The next Monday, GT Bank mounted a stage for their event at the stadium. When the Minister directed him to go and stop it since he said the place had not been rented to them, your guess is as good as mine.

He couldn't stop it. If this man could look at his board members and lie to them about renting the stadium, do you think is the Public Accounts Committee he won't lie to?

We were here when he told the Committee he had pitch covers. Where are those covers, he couldn't answer.

To make matters worse for Prof., he gave a contract to a company called Mum and Sons to deliver 50 hampers at the cost of GHC 500 per one.

Guess whose company was entered as the winner of the contract in the NSA accountant's book, Bobena Solutions. This company belongs to the Secretary of Professor Twumasi, Afia Serebour.

Mum and Sons was due GHC 25,000 per her agreement, but Bobena Solutions was due GHC 41,000. I personally spoke to Afia. She got angry and cut the call and asked me to speak to the Procurement Officer, Emmanuel Twumasi, cousin of Prof Twumasi.

Apparently, Bobena Solutions received GHC 15,000 part payment for the hampers they did not provide and never paid a penny to Mum and Sons, the company that provided the hampers.

They were waiting to receive GHC 41,000 from the NSA and pay Mum and Sons, GHC 10,000, an amount they claim was a revised agreement.

The woman refused. Mum and Sons reported the matter to the Legon Police. Afia Serebour was arrested and detained.

Professor Twumasi was arrested the next day. I was at the Police station.

I haven't spoken to the complainant since to find out if they finally paid her after she caused their arrest. Afia Serebour flew to the USA.
