The election of GFA President and Executive Committee members must be opened to all Ghanaians and not team owners only. Presently only team owners are eligible to contest for the position of GFA president and its totally wrong. Do you have to be a doctor to be appointed minister of health? or an army general to be appointed mister of defense? NO. This rule was introduced by Kwesi Nyantakyi to enable him to rule the association with autocratic powers. The president of the GFA and his executive committee members all own teams and are also agents of players. How can they take decisions that will affect their teams and players? They won't. That's why we need an outsider to manage football in the country. They can't even control the mass exodus of players because they all gain from it. Some players don't even play in the local league before they are exported. This must stop!
What they do is, they use the FIFA rule that government must not interfere in football administration to do their own things. Government must find a way to make them change their rules after all its the government that pays the coach. Because they are team owners and agents of players, they are able to manipulate and interfere in the coaches' work. They always deny that they interfere but that's a lie, they do interfere and asks the coaches to keep quiet about that.

I agree we take out team owners from GFA presidency and executive committee. Football owners should be in GHALCA and strengthen it, organize local football from community colts, schools/colleges/Universities. the GFA will be for National teams both men & women to oversee district/regional/national teams (local black stars/queens, u12, u15, u17, u19, u21, u23. Fuse these teams with maximum 5 from overseas in tip-top form (like Kudus/Partey/Inyaki).
