Trying to be good on your own,praying and fasting doesn’t impress God. It doesn’t benefit him at all. In fact the best efforts of man to do good is as filthy rags before God. God is infinitely holy and perfect beyond our comprehension. He’s also perfectly just,not a single sinful act while go unpunished whether by word,action or dwelling on impure thoughts. No one can justify themselves before God by their good actions,it’s impossible. God being a loving God decided to take on a human nature to pay the debt for your ALL your sins so that you can be forgiven of them ALL if you’ll repent and put your faith in Jesus Christ. Once you do so he’ll give you the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will come and live inside you and empower you to live a life that is pleasing to God. Now you’ll obey God from your heart because you love God not because you want to tick some religious box. He did it for me and for all true Christians and He can do it for you but you’ll have to let him,he’s not going to force himself on you.

Quran 3:151
Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority: their abode will be the Fire: And evil is the home of the wrong-doers!

Quran 8:12-13
[Remember] when your Lord inspired to the angels, "I am with you, so strengthen those who have believed. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip."This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger: If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment.

Sahih Muslim 2167 a
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Do not greet the Jews and the Christians before they greet you and when you meet any one of them on the roads force him to go to the narrowest part of it.

Quran 98:6
Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book(Jews and Christians) and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.

Quran 9:29
Fight against those who do not believe in Allāh or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allāh and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth [i.e., Islām] from those who were given the Scripture(Jews and Christians)- [fight] until they give the jizyah1 willingly while they are humbled. The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

Sahih Muslim 22
It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said:I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah

Hammam b. Munabbih reported:
That is what Abu Huraira reported to us from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he narrated (some) ahadith one of which is that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies) and I have been given words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4059 Ibn 'Abbas said:
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'Whoever changes his religion, kill him.'"

Sahih al-Bukhari 6802
Narrated Anas:
Some people from the tribe of `Ukl came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and embraced Islam. The climate of Medina did not suit them, so the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered them to go to the (herd of milch) camels of charity and to drink, their milk and urine (as a medicine). They did so, and after they had recovered from their ailment (became healthy) they turned renegades (reverted from Islam) and killed the shepherd of the camels and took the camels away. The Prophet (ﷺ) sent (some people) in their pursuit and so they were (caught and) brought, and the Prophets ordered that their hands and legs should be cut off and that their eyes should be branded with heated pieces of iron, and that their cut hands and legs should not be cauterized, till they die.
