This cannot be true. When Abedi was 17, he was playing for Great Farcos, a colts club. He was a older when he played for RTU in the then 1st Division league. The stated "football age" of 17 during the 1982 Afcon, must be taken with a pinch of salt. After that, he went to Qatar, where he naturally had to play for a while, in order to save enough to build a house. By his own testimony, he received no money when he was bought from RTU. He therefore had to work in Qatar for at least, a year, to build a house. As such, Abedi could NOT have been still 17 when he built his first house. That's false.

Those of us who know you also knew your first house at Alajo was built after your Qatar sojourn. Also, your first car we saw you drive in was a VW Jetta, after you'd left Ghana, the younger brother of Maha, who was then your girlfriend "fresh catch" was wheeling the "Jalopy" all over the place. Some of us the area boys had eyes on Maha who was living right after the Djorwulu - Abelenkpe entrance were disappointed and had to shee tears for days when you won the bid.
