Our society has made it so difficult for our sportsmen/women to get proper education thus when they go on retirement they find it difficult to take up any position.Recently GFA members were saying our old players are illiterates so cannot take up any position.Here we are Asamoah Gyan cannot also go into politics due to some flimsy excuses. Why is it that the sportsmen from Ukraine,Russia,Brazil,France etc can become politicians,mayors,bankers whilst ours can't do anything?

We don't go into politics to make money the main motive is to serve the society or your ppl to develop. Asamoah Gyan has lived in more than 10 countries and he has a rich experience to serve politically.

In this country the standards have fallen so low that people like Agyemman Badu and John Paintsil are referred to as legends. What really makes two legends ??? If these two can be legends then Asamoah Gyan automatically becomes a legend too . By what criteria do we bestow honorablectitles on people in this country . Asamoah Gyan was good footballer but there’s nothing legendary about him . He achieve nothing at national level and absolutely nothing at club level. . He scored a few goals but when the stakes are high he let us all down . Even at club level and the going gets tough he quits . . More 99% of the time when the black stars needed him at crucial he failed . If you keep hyping them and giving them titles they don’t deserve, they’ll do stupid things like joining politics .
