  this is not anything bad, may be the family of the woman admires these distinguished athletes and decided to name THE kids after them. in Ghana when some stayed with you for a long time, or through an association with a certain family you benefited in life, you can decide to name your children by that family and it's about showing appreciation for what that family did for you. in the north you come across someone bearing an Akan name, if you dig into the reason why he or she is bearing that name, you realized that he the parent choose to thank their former host in terms of accommodation or good friendship the two families had together and there no shame in that.
