I support Alex Djiku 100% for rejecting the Captain armband on that day. Didn't we (some Ghanaians) say Tony Baffoe was a "Bad Luck" for wearing the armband in AFCON Final in 1992 in Senegal ?

Thomas Partey was made assistant captain largely due to public pressure from Ghanaians, not necessarily a decision based on merit by the coaching staff. If Jordan Ayew had been appointed assistant captain under his brother Dede (Andre Ayew), many Ghanaians would have criticized it, simply because of the negative bias toward the Ayew family.
Let’s be clear: in terms of seniority, Jordan Ayew ranks higher. When it comes to commitment to the national team, he has consistently shown dedication. Yet, due to the dislike some have for the Ayews, there’s a push for Partey to become captain instead.
Even Djiku,even though talented, joined the team more recently. It’s understandable if he felt uncomfortable wearing the captain’s armband when more experienced and committed players were present. This situation reflects poor judgment on the part of the coach, who may lack the maturity to make fair and balanced leadership decisions.
