Arsenal can't use the alledged rape charge to hold him down to a contract, because the club failed to extend Partey's contract, so they parted ways on July 1st. I hope the charges are false, but you have to understand that unlike Ghana, in the western world if a woman says no, she means no. If the allegations are true, then Partey will have a tough time convincing a jury that he is innocent. Three women have all brought up rape allegations against him.

This case had been in the British press for about 2-3 years without the name of the player been mentioned , because of a court injunction sought by the player (and his club).

The player (and his lawyers), could have settled with the women involved (just as Rolando did in his case). It will be a tough one and nightmare scenerio, if proven true.

That said, rape cases are notoriously difficult to prosecute. I don't know the details of the charge but if it is a grey area case, then Partey will likely beat the charge but that is no matter. The damage is already done. He is finished. Case in point Benjamin Mendy.
