  Botswana, a landlocked country with 2.5 million is fast becoming the hotbed of sprint racing in Africa, as Kenya is with long distance running. There are more in Accra metropolitan area (2 8 million) and Kumasi metro area (4 million) than the whole of Botswana. How is it that this small country can produce better sprinters than Ghana, which has a population of 33 million.

  When managing a very exiguous country like Ghana with enormous resources becomes a puzzle, a lifelong headache, with empty-headed politicians behaving out of sync, what good can come out of it?
  We can hardly even stop galamsey which is destroying the country!
  
  We're good at emptying state coffers, showcasing big cars and buildings, chasing others' wives than focus on objectives that matter, including sports.
  
  Ghana should be betting resources on promoting good-health policies of the youth through athletics and other engaging sporting activities but it won't happen. We'd rather have Cecilia Dapaahs and Adu Boahenes robbing everything.
