  In Appiah's time we had a stronger local league. Right now, we don't. Sometimes the best players in Ghana are recruited by age 8, 9, or 10 to be shipped off to Europe when they turn 18. The left-over players are the ones stuc ...

  In Appiah's time we had a stronger local league. Right now, we don't. Sometimes the best players in Ghana are recruited by age 8, 9, or 10 to be shipped off to Europe when they turn 18. The left-over players are the ones stuck at home. Once a while we get a late bloomer, but very rare. Speaking of competition, these local players were given chances by various coaches during the qualifies. They did not measure up. Danlad, Abagna, Corsa, Ofori, Richmond Lamptey, Afriyie Barnieh, Razak Simpson and many others were given chances. They were just not good enough because our league has become weak because now, we just process kids to be shipped overseas.
