  This has got nothing to do with race. It's purely economics, without the major leagues in the world where would African players sell their talents? FIFA cannot improve our economy we have to do it ourselves.

  African players kill themselves 'over there' because this is where they earn their living and not in Africa. This is not to say the FIFA decision is right but just to correct your impression.

  NOt FIFA is CAF that is degrading AFCON. Their teams need them as they are in the deep part of the leagues so are the Leagues in Africa too. The only way out is to play Afcon during the off season when all the leagues are finished for the season. AFCON in January is a very stupid idea and if African really care about the game they will not place it when our National Leagues are going on seriously. Teams in Europe regret signing African players whenever they go to Afcon because they will miss about 4-6 games.
