Being fluent in English in Ghana doesn't mean shit on the streets, especially in the south. It takes about a year to two to adjust. I hosted a well travelled older friend, executive in Ghana. He taught me extra classes, English back in the day. Even he, the accent was rough on his ears, occasionally asking me to explain what someone said. At the college level, some times you have students dropping classes because a particular professor has a strong accent.

Sweep the streets with pride, wash dishes at restraurants at evening. Build houses for rent,buy shares in stable companies like MTN and GBC before retiring at 70 yeaes in the USA. Thankfully, you have 40 years of work life since you are just 30 years now.
