Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo has cautioned his players to be careful of Germany’s transitions as they prepare to face them in an international friendly on March 30, 2026.

He indicated that the defensive setup of the team does not appear organized during transitions, which could be costly against Die Mannschaft.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach noted that he is working with the squad to resolve the issue and urged them to improve their defensive awareness.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Germany clash, Otto Addo stressed that Germany’s pacey attackers must be handled well by the defenders to ensure a good performance.

“This is the second point, defensive transitions. When we’re not organized, we know we have to be quicker in defensive transitions so that we are organized. When we’re organized, usually nothing happens and we do well.

"But if we’re not organised, this is what we have to watch out for when playing Germany because they have fast offensive transitions. We have to be aware of that and do this much, much better,” he told the media.

Otto Addo now faces the daunting task of turning things around in the second friendly against Germany, where a solid performance or positive result will be crucial in easing the pressure ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
