  I think this was a bit of a hasty knee jerk reaction. Yes, the Austria match was bad for the Black Stats, but the German one wasn't that bad. Germany is typically a very strong team, and 2-1 is not a bad scoreline.

  The timing for the sacking of the Black stars coach is ill conceived. These players are playing just friendly matches and this would have given the coach the proper assessment of his players and to see what changes he has to make . Is the coach responsible for the manner in which these players played ? Some of our players play internationally and have been teammates of some the players they played against so why did the black stars fall short ? Sacking the coach was not the panacea for the weakness in our players . Some of the black star players owe allegiance to their foreign teams and will not do anything to mar their future with their foreign teams. They are being cautious about injuries while playing for the black stars. It is time GFA selects our national team from among the players of our local clubs and train them to represent Ghana . These local players will be more dedicated than our foreign based players. In as much as the GFA can bring home some of these foreign based players , our emphasis should be on training our local players to take that mantle.
