  Argument doesn’t hold water. At this point Ghana has nothing to lose. If GFA has now made the decision to sack that loser of a coach, it should tell you how critical matters are. As a sports journalist you should know that there are instances where abrupt change of coach has worked wonders. Again, Ghana has sunk so low we cannot any further slips would just be comical. There is nothing to lose for us anymore as a football nation.

You state that there’s been times where an abrupt change of coach has done wonders for a team. In the write up, the journalist states that the appointing authority has shown incompetence in coach selection for the past seven years. The results and position of the Black stars today is the empirical evidence to support this claim

  One funny thing in Ghana is the low IQ ones rather accuse others of having low IQ. Changing Coaches doesn't change foko to the well-being of the team, it rathers hells. Roberto Di Matteo was appointed as Chelsea interim coach in March 2012 but won Chelsea's first ever Champions League in May 2012,just, just two months later. Ivory Coast were nearly out of the AFCON in 2024 ,at the group stages they lost 4 0 and were nearly out. Then they change Coaches from Gassert to Faes , and after only qualifying for the next round as third best placed team, they won the Trophy.

He’s not against changing the coach, he’s saying that it should have been done earlier as that would have given the new coach a chance to assess the team properly before the World Cup. Now the new manager will have to name the World Cup squad without an opportunity to play a single friendly match. This makes nonsense of the whole preparations under Otto.

Even Hearts of Oaks and Asante Kotoko are doing the same and use about 3 coaches a season. All is due to pressures from the the 30million coaches in Ghana and the stupidity and power show of the GFA.

  The GFA is trying to cover their mediocrity by sacking the coach with barely 3 months to the World Cup. They are looking for an alibi or an excuse to justify their anticipated poor outing at the world and say, “ The Blackstars did not perform well because they were under a new coach.
  When everybody called the sacking of Otto Ado they rooted for him and threatened legal suit against critics. Now they have seen that Ado will definitely perform very poorly at the World Cup and the nation will take them to the butcher’s table, hence, their axing of the coach at such a crucial time.
  The entire GFA should also be dissolve for a new GFA to be constituted if fairness should be exercised. This is the view of the tax payer with whose taxes they are being paid
  The taxpayer should have say in how our taxes are being spent. We will listen to any excuse if the Blackstars do not perform satisfactorily at the World Cup. NO EXCUSES! NO EXCUSES for poor World Cup performance by the Blackstars at the World Cup.
  The GFA must follow suit.
