  Do we understand the meaning of the word PROACTIVE? Always waiting for death to rear its ugly head before we take action to save lives. Is it going to be just one policeman on some old motorbike that has not enjoyed any maintenance since it was imported? Will the escorting officer enjoy some allowance? Is he going to be protected with bulletproof jacket and a multipurpose tactical weapon or some old malfunctioning AK 47?

  It's seems we don't acts before tragedy happened as people of Ghana, I have observe that for a very long time, in fact we have to react before we encounter challenges, all this while don't we know that it is necessary and prudent to facilitate and do the right thing at the right time as nation? We always wait for predicamy to happen before we act which is not helping at all, why am I saying so? Recently an incident happen in Newtown where I live, a structure fell on innocent souls they saw that damage of the structure can cause harm so nothing was done about it and it cause tragedy. Just recently footballers went and play football knowiing vividly that they can be attack when going back at night and it happened brekum Chelsea player was killed, why all this while we didn't give them police escort or military escort we waited for the disaster to happen before we are acting is a shame to us as Ghanaians.

  Patrols ans installing cheap solar-powered cameras on most highways to monitor activities. This is what policing is about. Not this bullshit.

  It hasnt been proven yet, if the armed atrack was aimed specificaly at the players of the Chelsea football club. If that is the case, then protecting the teams to and fro league matches can not be questioned by anyone. However, if it was, that these highway armed robbers mistakenly picked on a wrong target, then the police would have to provide protection not only for the football teams BUT the generality of the traveling public. Huge task isnt it ?
