Former Black Stars midfielder, Edwin Gyimah, accompanied by personnel from the Ghana Police Service, stormed his house in Obuasi, where family members had allegedly taken over the property.

In a recent interview, the ex-player disclosed that his sudden decline, both professionally and personally, cannot be separated from what he describes as spiritual attacks allegedly orchestrated by immediate family members.

He claimed that the very people he trusted most had turned against him, ultimately stripping him of his properties and leaving him in hardship.

Gyimah revealed that he is now living under difficult conditions in Ghana with his wife and children and, shockingly, has no place to call home after his sisters allegedly took over the eight-bedroom house he built.

Following these claims, an Oyerepa FM crew led by Auntie Naa, together with police officers, visited the house to assess the situation. During the visit, his relatives, including his mother, sister, and others who had taken over the property, were seen kneeling and begging him to let the matter go.

Some of them broke down in tears to express their remorse as the issue sparked public outrage.

Speaking in a follow-up interview on Oyerepa FM, Gyimah stated that he holds no grudge against his family and is working to obtain the keys to the house to reclaim ownership.

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder noted that he is looking forward to raising funds to secure accommodation for his mother and provide her with financial support.

“Whatever has happened, I know she is my mother, so I can’t abandon her. I will look into getting her a place by raising funds with my relatives and giving her a monthly allowance to cover her living expenses.

"Although my father has a house, it has been rented out. I have spoken to them about it several times, but to no avail. Right now, I am thinking about how to take over my house completely. I want to give them until the end of this week or the end of the month to pack out,” he said in Twi.
