The consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, headed by Behdad Eghbali, took over Chelsea in May 2022 and has fired five managers in their pursuit of success at the club as of April 2026.

Some of these managers lasted over a year, while most had short stints and were dismissed after recording poor results.

Thomas Tuchel (May 2022 – September 2022)

The new ownership sacked manager Thomas Tuchel on their 100th day in charge after Chelsea’s third defeat of the season.

The former Borussia Dortmund and Paris St-Germain boss exited after winning three trophies in 20 months.

A club statement said the owners believed it was "the right time" to bring in a new head coach. Under the new ownership, Tuchel played 7 matches, winning 3, drawing 1, and losing 3, with a 42% win rate.

Graham Potter (September 2022 – April 2023)

Chelsea sacked Graham Potter after less than seven months in charge following a 2-0 home defeat by Aston Villa.

It was his 11th defeat in 31 games since replacing Tuchel. Chelsea dropped to 11th in the Premier League, 12 points outside the top four, despite spending more than £550m on new players that season.

The owners said they were "disappointed" to sack Potter. He managed 31 games, winning 12, drawing 8, and losing 11, with a 38% win rate.

Mauricio Pochettino (July 2023 – May 2024)

Pochettino’s tenure ended after Chelsea failed to meet expectations despite heavy investment.

He managed 51 matches, winning 26, drawing 11, and losing 14, with a 51% win rate.

Enzo Maresca (July 2024 – January 2026)

Enzo Maresca left his role after 18 months due to a breakdown in his relationship with the board, despite Chelsea sitting fifth in the Premier League.

The Blues won just one of their last seven league matches and took only six points from six games in December, falling 15 points behind leaders Arsenal.

Maresca was the most successful manager under the new ownership, winning the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup. He managed 92 games, winning 54, drawing 16, and losing 22, with a 59% win rate.

Liam Rosenior (January 2026 – April 2026)

Chelsea parted ways with Liam Rosenior after a disastrous run of results brought his brief spell to an abrupt end.

Appointed in January 2026 on a six-year deal to replace Maresca, his appointment raised eyebrows and ultimately failed to deliver.

Rosenior’s tenure lasted just 107 days. He managed 23 games, winning 11, drawing 2, and losing 10, with a 47% win rate.
