Kurt Okraku is the President of the Ghana Football Association
The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has encouraged the Black Stars squad to achieve success for themselves at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He stated that this marks the team’s fifth appearance at the Mundial and emphasized that it is the right opportunity for the players to make history for themselves and the entire nation.
Speaking to the squad ahead of their opening game against Panama, Okraku urged both fans and players to believe that success is possible.

“And in this sixth time, we say the time is now. We are saying the time is now. You must believe, because if you do believe in what I’m saying, you’ll be hopping, jumping, clapping, and shouting,” he said.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz assured Ghanaians that the team will deliver a performance that will bring glory to the nation and make everyone proud.
“So on behalf of my boys, I can, as a coach, guarantee that when you finish watching the games, you will be proud of them. I’m sure about that. Our great goal is to be part of the entertainment business. Football is about entertainment. Our duty and our goal is to make people happy. You can only make people happy if you win, and we are ready to do that,” he noted.
The players and technical team responded with cheers, showing their readiness and determination.
