The US team would have performed better if they didn't go through this preferential treatment saga. The who noise about the political interference took the players mind away. Again the other players thought they were underrated by the political leaders who thought without one player they cannot win. So there was no need to go through all this political interference. Balogun should have been allowed to stay off and the team would have fought like wounded lions and the result would have been different.

This is a hypocritical FIFA that severely penalizes national football associations for political interference from their national governments, but has now succumbed to the political influence of no one other than the convicted felon and narcissistic Donald Trump and his government. As a matter of fact, FIFA, led by a corrupt Infantino and his mafia, including Motsepe, has compromised itself and broken its own laws with this biased decision. I wonder how they will treat future violations of their so-called laws by national associations. Creating a special prize for Trump is corruption. The current crop of FIFA leadership must be indicted and prosecuted for corruption. They must be dismissed and banned from football administration for life.

FIFA's shameful action of allowing corrupt Trump to twist its arm to allow a red-carded USA player to play in a game that he wasn't supposed to be playing, is an act that is of concern to all nations that are part of the FIFA organization.
