Based on the limitations you’ve outlined, the coach’s team selection and strategy against England were perfect and ought to have been maintained for subsequent matches. The inherent advantages of doing so were that it would’ve given the team more confidence and better opportunities after the England game. Many would agree that the black stars “won” the game against England. Why change a winning team and strategy then? As soon as Carlos tasted success, his strategy changed to accommodate selfish and greedy GFA officials and their players whose only interest was to serve their professional personal ends. There was no reason to sit out Adjetey and Brandon Thomas if Ghana wanted to win subsequent matches in the tournament. But the coach had to bend in the face of constant pressures from those who employed him. And we blew up the opportunity to go far. Don’t be surprised if the team we played to perfection (England) wins the 2026 World Cup. That would imply Ghana could’ve gone very far if we had stuck to our team and strategy that almost beat England. Let’s dissolve the current GFA because it’s useless !

The real issue is the GFA. Dissolve the GFA—and don't stop there. There must be a new constitution or a strict set of rules governing the GFA President and Executive Committee members. The first and most important rule should be that the GFA President must have absolutely no conflict of interest. That means the President should not be a player agent or manager, a scout, a club owner, or have any financial interest in player transfers or selections. They should not receive shares, commissions, or any other benefits tied to players being called up or transferred. Until football administration is free from conflicts of interest, meaningful progress will remain.
