People criticising Quiroz that he is too defensively minded and unfit to coach the BS have forgotten that:
1. The Black Stars' competitive campaigns before the WC were only against African teams.
2. When we played foreign teams in the friendlies our weaknesses were exposed badly.
3. Then we lost our key players through injuries for the WC, so we were a very weak team for the WC.
4. As Saani Diara said, Quiroz played according to our (weak) strength for the WC.
4. He knew the strategy to use according to what was available for him, and he did it very well.
So let's give him the chance to sort out the players well and build a strong team, and pray that he'll have the freedom to omit those too old and holding back the team.

So surprised that a coach who has announced his retirement in all the major news outlets is being retained by Ghana. The world is laughing at Ghana now. Ghana met Colombia with a shaky team but great players like Brandon Asante and Ajetey were warming the bench. What’s more shocking is that our lone, old, non-goal striker played 80 minutes! Did Carlos really want Ghana to win against Colombia? Today, England is playing a semifinals game. Looking back, Ghana “beat” England to the admiration of the entire soccer world including those in England. Why did coach Carlos change the team and strategy used against England if he really wanted Ghana to beat Colombia? Only God knows why he eased up in that game. And yet GFA is extending his contract to cover the rotten apples and the shaddy deals. God’s watching!
