Hearts of Oak deny setting transfer valuation for Benjamin Asare

Accra Hearts of Oak have dismissed reports claiming the club has placed a transfer valuation on goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his impressive performances for Ghana at the FIFA World Cup.

In a statement released on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the club described the reports circulating in the media and on social media as “false and without factual basis.”

“Hearts of Oak has not placed any valuation on Benjamin Asare and has not authorised any individual or media outlet to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf,” the statement said.

The Phobians, however, stressed that they remain open to receiving and considering offers that are in the best interest of both the player and the club.

They clarified that no official valuation has been communicated and that any figures currently being reported are purely speculative.

The club also urged supporters, stakeholders and the general public to disregard unverified reports concerning Asare’s transfer value, while encouraging media organisations to verify information through the club’s official channels before publication.
