Amadu Mohammed urges Ghanaians to keep praying after Glasgow 2026 victory

Ghanaian boxer Amadu Mohammed has called on Ghanaians to continue supporting and praying for Team Ghana after advancing to the next round of the men's 55kg boxing competition at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Mohammed booked his place in the next stage with a confident performance and believes the team still has a long journey ahead before celebrating.

Speaking after the bout, the Ghanaian boxer expressed gratitude to his coach for the guidance and encouragement that have helped him progress in the competition.

"I'm very proud because our coach supported us, prayed for us, and we are getting there. So my message now is keep on praying for us; we are not done yet. When we reach the medal zone, then we can speak."

His comments reflect the determination within the Ghana boxing team as they continue their quest for medals at the Games.
