Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has remained tight-lipped about his future following his impressive performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The goalkeeper said he cannot predict what lies ahead as the new season approaches but urged fans to expect more from him.

“As of now, just expect more because I cannot say I expect this or that. We have life and everything, so just expect more from me,” he told 3Sports in an interview.

The Hearts of Oak shot-stopper said he is determined to prove to Ghanaians that his performances were not a fluke but the result of hard work and dedication.

Asare expressed deep appreciation to the public for the overwhelming support he has received since joining the Black Stars, promising to continue giving his best to make the nation proud.

“So far, I think as of now in Ghana, I’m a footballer and this is my job. Apart from football, I don’t do any other job. So I think this is the time to prove to the Ghanaian people that, yes, I can make it. Because once it’s my job, I must prove myself anywhere. And because of the love and the way they cherish me, everywhere I go, there are fans. So I think it’s good for me to prove myself in the national team,” he added.

Benjamin Asare is expected to resume training with Hearts of Oak ahead of the 2026/27 season, with no club yet publicly linked with a move for the goalkeeper.
