'Are you tired?' – The moment Guardiola clashed with Haaland during a game

Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had a heated exchange with striker Erling Haaland during the club’s victory over Chelsea in the 2026 FA Cup Final.

At half-time, with the game still goalless, Guardiola delivered a tense dressing-room talk, expressing frustration with his players.

He specifically clashed with Haaland over what he perceived as the striker’s lack of involvement in the match, despite his aggressive displays in previous games.

The legendary coach demanded that Haaland raise his performance in the second half to justify his decision to bench other players in favor of the Norwegian.

“Are you tired? (No!) Why don’t you fight for the ball like you’ve done with [William] Saliba and all the players, in a fing final? If you’re tired, tell me now. I left fing six players out. Six players I’m ashamed of myself for leaving out.

"Where’s your quality? Movements in behind? The box? Go! I love you anyway, Erling, like a father, I love you anyway. But it’s not about that. Nothing else. Show me you want to win…” he said.

The clash highlighted Guardiola’s fiery leadership style and his relentless demand for passion and commitment, even from his star players, in crucial matches.
